The Panasonic DMW-HGR1 Hand Grip provides enhanced stability and a comfortable hold when shooting with the GM1 Mirrorless Digital Camera. It attaches with an integrated thumb screw into the camera's tripod socket and features an approximately 1.7' textured aluminum post that rests against the right-hand side of the camera's face. The base of the grip runs along the bottom plate of the camera providing not only the leverage to use the grip but a degree of protection for the camera. The increased height the grip provides is useful when using larger lenses, allowing the camera to sit flat on a table.
